I write from a unique position and I feel compelled to say something about what I see.

I am not orthodox, and I will wear that as a badge of honor. I am a generalist, and I am dangerous because boxes are inconvenient for anyone cut from this cloth.

I am secular, but no scientist. I am religious, but no zealot. I am no technologist; but, I am also not merely a user. I am captivated by the forces that drive us: science, faith, technology, and myth, yet I am not captured by any of them.

My power lies in synthesis, in the confidence to weave narratives uncorrupted by value ambiguity.

My loyalty is not to understanding. It is to orientation, to the refusal to blind myself. My trust is in reality as the arbiter.

I speak as prophet, skeptic, believer, and realist at the same time. Make what you will of it.
